Hot Air Balloons
The most important thing to do here.
We negotiated down to about $50 per person, and they run almost every day if the weather is good.
Tours are a major staple of the economy, so suppliers are plentiful.

Depending on weather, rent one if possible.
Easy way to get around during the day; roads aren't crowded and are well-paved.
Cheap and beautiful.
Didn't explore the whole thing, but definitely go for sunset.

The pigeons are a gimmick, but the area and drive are really nice.
Scenic viewpoint in Goreme with food, drinks, seating areas, and picture-taking spots up top.

Nice town to drive through on the hill, with great views throughout.

A little pricey.
Nice Turkish food.
Don't get the Cappadocia ravioli.
Food is well-priced and high quality given minimal searching.

Probably the best town to stay in, though everything is pretty close by car or scooter.
A specialty in the area, and there are plenty.

Scooter rental, car rental, and taxi service are all options.
Do not ask your accommodation to arrange a ride without knowing the price first.
We got incredibly overcharged.
Airports have taxi and even bus services that run late and charge lower rates.
